I dag er dagen endelig her; Manchester United vs PSG! 

Dette er så stort, jeg eleker disse storkampene og det er sykt deilig med Champions League tilbake på Old Trafford. Tirsdag som egentlig er den roligeste og kjipeste dagen i ula er i dag det helt motsatte. Jeg er så gira og klar, rett før jeg la meg i går så jeg på per-match klipp på YouTube så det var vanskelig å få sove. Våknet lenge før 6 i dag tidlig og dro på trening og gjorde ferdig dette innlegget før jobb. Jeg er så klar for kamp nå at jeg har knapt ord til å beskrive hvor mye jeg gleder meg! 

Da vi først trekte PSG og vi fortsatt var under Mourinho tenkte jeg at dette kommer 100% til å bli stygt. Jeg tror jeg hadde ringt legen å bedt om noe beroligende faktisk for å møte kanskje verdens beste angrepsteam under Mourinho kunne fort bli mitt verste minne som Unitedsupporter. Men nå har vi Ole og jeg er faktisk positiv. Hvordan han har klart å forvandlet dette laget er jo ikke annet enn utrolig. Bare gi han jobben nå, uansett hvordan disse kampene ender. Han har bevist nok.

Med den formen United er i så bør vi være en bekymring for alle lag i Europa- også for PSG som jeg rangerer helt i topppen. Ingen kan ta United for gitt nå, vi er fortsatt ubeseiret under Solskjær og tenk for en selvtillit det har gitt spillerne. Og med Neymar og Cavani ute i tillegg til flere som er usikre så må vi ut utnytte det. Jobbe hardt defensivt, og vise vår sterke form på midten og i angrep! Vi har under Solskjær fått spillere tilbake i verdenstjerne-form. For mange er dette hittil den største og viktigste kampen i karrieren. 

Og taper vi så blir det mot et av verdens største lag, etter en rekordlang vinnerstrike. Men jeg er positiv, tenk at jeg kan si det før vi møter PSG, men det er jeg! Solskjær har garantert plukket ut det han mener er det beste laget meg jeg håper ikke det inkluderer Lukaku eller Sanchez fra start, de jeg håper å se i line upen er følgende: De Gea, Yong, Lindelöf, Jones, Shaw, Lindgard, Herrera, Matic, Pogba, Martial og Rash!

Today’s the day- Manchester United vs PSG!! 

Even though it can be ugly for us and a big chance this will be Oles first defeat I’m so excited. I love this big games and it’s so good to have Champions League back. Usually Tuesdays are the least exciting day of the week, but not today! I woke up with butterflies in my stomach! It was hard falling asleep because I watched pre-game clips on YouTube before bed so I haven’t had the best sleep and I hit the gym before 6am today so I could finish this post up before work. 

With Uniteds recent form we should be a consern for every team in Europe right now and also for PSG even though they’re favorites. With Ole and United undefeated since he took over you just can’t underestimate United. It’s a huge advantage with both Neymar and Cavani being out with injuries and some players just back from injuries. We have to take all the benefits that comes a long, I’m not saying it will be easy, but I am optimistic. When we draw PSG we still was managed under Mourinho and my first thought was this will 100% be ugly for us. And I promise you I’d go to the doctor to ask for something for the pain! Instead Ole has done a miraculous change and I believe we got a chance to beat them!

And if we lose, it’s against a top team, anyone no matter form can lose against them. But let’s look on the bright side; I can say exactly the same thing about United. If every player do their absolute best we will win. And I’m sure Ole got a winning plan ready. Our team got some weak spots in defense but except from that we are a very strong team! I hope Solskjær will start with the best players so my starting XI will be: 

De Gea, Young, Lindelof, Jones, Shaw, Lindard, Matic, Herrera, Pogba, Martial and Rashford! 

We got so many top players now and if we work hard defensively we will win this!

…and people are still questioning Solskjær and United. I seriously can’t see why we should sign someone else, Ole will always play the United way and the players loves him. To see Lingard and Rash play like this under him is like a romantic fairytale. We got to keep this. I’ve said it earlier, I can see so much of Ferguson in Solskjær. 

Since Ole arrived, he has more points than any other team in the league. Undefeated- in every tournament. We have scored the most and conceived the least. Just imagine if he came in sooner… He has proven enough if you ask me. Many wants to see him against the top top team, but let be honest; even under Ferguson we could lose against them. Facing PSG is the top 3 teams you don’t wanna face – no matter how strong the team is. And we got Jones in defense 🙈 so that’s gonna be by far the two toughest games in years! And most likely will we lose, but that’s not on Ole. That’s about limitations, 50% of our defender are from when Fergie was the boss, they are outdated – but it’s what we got. 

So can we beat PSG?

Call me crazy, but yes. Mourinho had already set the expectations to not expect too much, and it will still be a disappointment if we lose, but Ole has given me some hope. We need to focus on not conceding goals in the away game. Easier said than done, but if United continues this form and work more defensively they can give a tough fight to PSG. Their main advantage is obviously their attack. But Neymar is out and even though I love winning over the best possible team, I’ll take that any day. I will say our midfield is better than PSG and if we are solid at the back and still manage to do attacks I’m actually positive. God, I’m so excited. PSG- United and I believe we will win, that’s a good feeling 😉 I will probably not be as confident as I am now just before kick off, but facing one of the best team in the world and still got the feeling we can get something out of it is a long and missed feeling!

I’m curious on how Solskjær will prepare the team so playing away against Fulham today we can’t expect too much of the team. Players need to be rested, but again- we’re reaching for top four and with some help from our noisy neighbors tomorrow we will make it! Important day today- COME ON UNITED!
