Boxing Day! A big day for all of us who love football. I won't lie, I still think about Saturday's game against Leicester. Total disaster and I'm so frustrated. Some players were so bad and the whole team a mess. The defense… don't get me started! Fail all over and I hope it's the last time we ever saw Jones+Smalling together.
As I've said so many times before, there's nothing called an easy game in the Premier League. So every single game we need to go out there with a good attitude, team spirit and ready to fight! I haven't seen that in a long time and that's what's worries me. We have no leader out there?! What we got is overpaid boys moaning and refuses to follow orders. I know I'm very negative now but I feel I have the right to say it! A game can make my day or totally destroy it- and the sad thing is that for most of the millionaire-players we adore so much; they don't give a f*ck about it. I doubt many of them lose their sleep over this. But they should! Their performance are a disgrace to be honest. But, win, lose or draw- I always support my team. I stand by my club and hope for better days. If they really fight today and want to win I'm happy again, I just want my team to do good. That's all I want. And I know I'm writing this and we're second in the league- but we are United and second isn't good enough.
I'm very excited for today- but I don't know what to expect. That's how it is at the moment. It will be interesting to see the Xl and hopefully Lukaku will be rested and Zlatan can start today!
Lenge siden sist!
(annmariolsen)
I haven’t been able to blog for a long time now, I’ve been really busy with work and social life so I just haven’t had the time. It may seem easy to ‘just blog’ but it’s actually quite hard sometimes. I need to use hours on it and sometimes I don’t have any spare time. I guess everyone with a full time job knows it’s hard to get it all together with work, gym, friends, boyfriend and family ++ sometimes 😜 Anyway: I’m back and I’m so excited for tonight’s game!!
A quick summary;
Manchester United- Newcastle
4-1. Not the best start, but the boys did their job. Amazing to have Rojo, Zlatan and Pogba back. We saw clearly how much we’ve missed Pogba. Lukaku finally scored and we are a much stronger team now with so important players back from injury.
Basel- Manchester United
1-0. Well, we lost and got what we deserved. United needs to be more crucial, they could have scored many in the first half but didn’t. Same old story. We’re lucky and it doesn’t affect us in the CL, but I don’t like to lose.
Manchester United- Brighton
1-0. A boring game and I hate to see United play like this. Especially at Old Trafford. Young saves us with a fantastic free-kick.
Watford- Manchester United
2-4. Before the game I was expecting a tough game to be honest. Watford is a team many have underestimated this season and playing them away isn’t easy. But we had an amazing start, but made it so difficult for ourselves in the second half. Lindelöf is adapting, Lingard and Young very good. United should have scored more, but a good and important victory.
Arsenal- Manchester United
MATCHDAY!! I woke up early today and wanted to go straight to the pub, I’m really excited for tonight! It’s such an important game and (of course) I love the big games. I went to the gym and did two hours cardio and soon we’re having a lunch with my parents before heading down to Scotsman. That’s our local supporter pub and it’s RED all the way. If you’re in Oslo sometimes be sure to watch United there.
Tonight will be tough, both teams need 3 points. Arsenal are a hard team to beat away and when they’re good, there’re really good. With that said- on paper we are a top notch football team with lots of quality. United just need to play that way. We never know what we get, and if Matic is out with injury I’m scared Herrera won’t be able to deliver on the midfield, he just seems…lost..? Not the player we had last season and that’s really sad. Today we need balance on the midfield, someone to pass the ball to Pogba and players with pace. I think it’s a perfect game for Martial, Rash and Lukaku. Bailly, Jones and Fellaini(maybe Matic) are all injured so Lindelöf will once again get his chance. I’m so happy he’s adapting to the English league and he seems a lot more confident! I haven’t been the biggest fan so far, but also wanted to give him time- that important. As a supporter my ‘job’ is to support the team and the players. I think at ridiculous all the hate he gets and it’s embarrassing to read it all, bit at the same time I feel we’re allowed to say our opinion. When I criticize a player it’s because he’s not doing his job, not playing with passion. On my blog I kind of analyze the match so I’m not scared to say my opinion. The players gets millions every month and their job is to perform- if they don’t do- of course we’re unhappy! But it’s ridiculous to write off a player after a couple of months in the club. Stop with the hate and start to support! The respond on sosial media after Jesses game against Watford was shocking. He was amazing and I even put money on him to score that game, really sad to see the hate he gets. I actually gonna dedicate a blog post about that, he’s a local lad and all. Shame on you guys having on him. If he starts today it’s because he worked his ass off and deserve it. But I do think Martial and Rashford is a better match against Arsenal.
This is our biggest game so far and a must-win so we can keep the pressure on City. I’m not over confident, but I got my fingers crossed for victory and some Lukaku magic! What do you guys reckon??
